Well said.
Maybe people should stop reacting to what that troll Tease puked up on these forums.
This isn't specifically at you by the way Baldour.
Tease comes to these forums with a story about a new player that quits because Tank killed them 5 times in a row. With the poiniant last line being
Quote:

Yeah. It's costing the game players. So is:
- Lack of content
- Lack of judgement
- Lack of communications
- Lack of consistancy
- Lack of motivation
- Lack of interactivity
- Lack of goals
- Lack of balance
- Lack of direction
Tease and others would love for the developers to believe that the majority of the people that leave this game do so over a bad pirate encounter. If they scare the developers enough, catch them when they're panicked enough, they might get just what they want:
a Player vs Environment game.
That's why she's here trying to make a martyr out of Beffanie. Well the problem with that is anyone here with half a clue knows this game won't survive as a PvE game. It's not designed for it, many people that here currently wouldn't tolerate it and the massive upheaval caused trying to make it a Player vs Environment game while ignoring just the above 8 points would be enough to drive off a large portion of the people remaining.
This situation is a direct result of indulging what Tease and others attempted in the past. Every damn person that played any significant portion of the beta, including every original member of m0o, knew about the jump in points.
But where was m0o in Mara/Passari? Where was the original scapegoat for "This is why people quit"? A hint for those that will still refuse to accept their share of the blame: they weren't at the jump in point.
People can continue to fall for this "Famous Pirate Causes Nameless Person to Quit Destroying Eve" crap. Go ahead, do it. Give in to the bull****. Then when the pirates are all gone and the server stats have dropped to 2k online, you can turn on CCP and blame them for your falling for hysteria tactics.
Simply put, it sucks but it's the best we got for the moment. Thanks to people like Tease. And thanks to people like Tease, I'm in no rush to have CCP change it. Not because Tank CEO is my alt and I get jollies out of watching n00bs die.
But because the probable CharlieFox if CCP rushes yet another 'fix' to a core mechanic in response to hysteria tactics is guaranteed to be worse than what we got right now.
Lay off Tank. Lay off pirates and give the developers the time they need to climb out of the hole this playerbase dug for them, properly.
